Iran’s Nikzad: Hormuz Won’t Return to Prior State

Date:

Ali Nikzad, the deputy speaker of the parliament, said on a television program: “We will not return the Strait of Hormuz to its previous state under any circumstances, and this is the order of the leadership.”

Referring to the negotiations with the United States and with the mediation of Pakistan, he said: “Trump made a mistake when he said that Araqchi should go to Pakistan. What is he doing in the world?”

The parliamentarian added: “Didn’t Trump say after the bombing of Fordow and Natanz that he had destroyed everything and that Iran no longer had nuclear capabilities? Now he is saying that he will not accept Iran having nuclear facilities.”
