Iran has submitted a “14-point proposal to the United States” aimed at resolving ongoing tensions and conflicts, particularly in Lebanon.
This plan is a reaction to a previous proposal from the US, which called for a two-month ceasefire.
Iran has dismissed that suggestion and instead seeks a complete and permanent resolution to the conflict within a 30-day timeframe.
The proposal from Iran includes security assurances to avert any future assaults and requests the “withdrawal of US military forces from adjacent areas”.
Additionally, it demands the removal of naval blockades, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and compensation for damages incurred due to sanctions and military pressure.
The plan also calls for the elimination of all US and international sanctions imposed on Iran. Furthermore, it addresses the need to resolve conflicts throughout the region, including in Lebanon.
Iran has proposed the establishment of a new system to oversee the Strait of Hormuz to guarantee the safe and efficient passage of vessels.
Currently, Iran is awaiting a response from the United States.
