Today, Ukraine observes Europe Day alongside the nations of the European Union.
“Ukraine has consistently been an integral part of Europe” – in terms of geography, history, culture, and the decisions made by its citizens. Today, in the context of Russia’s extensive military aggression, this bond is becoming even more pronounced – through reforms, solidarity, and our collective duty towards the continent’s future.
For the people of Ukraine, Europe embodies the values we uphold daily: freedom, democracy, human dignity, the rule of law, and inter-nation solidarity.
In safeguarding our own sovereignty, Ukraine is simultaneously enhancing the security and resilience of Europe as a whole. Countless Ukrainians are actively engaged in constructing a more robust European future – whether on the frontlines, within their communities, through innovation, reconstruction, culture, or in their daily lives.
