12 Civilians Killed in Sudan Drone Strike, Including 6 Children

Date:

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has reached a devastating new milestone following a lethal drone strike in the North Darfur region. According to local medical sources and human rights activists, at least 12 civilians were killed in the town of Kutum. This latest escalation highlights the increasingly precarious situation for non-combatants trapped in the crossfire of Sudan’s civil unrest.

Children and Students Among the Victims

Perhaps the most heartbreaking aspect of this recent strike is the age of the victims. Reports confirm that six children were among those killed. Many of the deceased were school students, young individuals whose lives were cut short while simply trying to exist within their community.

The loss of students has sent shockwaves through Kutum, a town already grappling with the secondary effects of war, including displacement and lack of basic resources. Local activists argue that the targeting of civilian-heavy areas demonstrates a total disregard for international humanitarian laws.
