Iran’s Qalibaf: Will Negotiate If US Honors Commitments

Date:

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said that from now on, if the US “does not continue to violate its commitments,” the Islamic Republic may enter into negotiations, but otherwise, “we will start the fire again.” He added: “Our people and armed forces are also prepared for this issue.”

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also said that the Islamic Republic refused to negotiate with US President Donald Trump’s ultimatum, adding: “He was forced to lie about negotiating with Iran and extend his ultimatum three times in order to control his country’s market.”
