US-Israel Joint Rescue Mission Saves Airman in Iran

Date:

Israel reportedly provided intelligence support to the United States during a high-risk rescue mission to recover a stranded US airman inside Iran, while also halting strikes in the area to avoid interference.

US forces carried out the operation over several hours using dozens of aircraft, rescuing the pilot from behind enemy lines. Reports say Israel shared real-time information and paused planned strikes to support the mission.

Defense Minister Israel Katz called the operation “another expression of the close cooperation between Israel and the United States,” as both countries coordinated under intense conditions.
